Sharada Devi
Sharada began her legal career as a litigation lawyer in Singapore, specializing in matrimonial and commercial matters in a culturally diverse and fast-paced commercial hub. She later transitioned into insurance litigation and subsequently pursued in-house roles, including a leadership position in corporate compliance for a clean energy joint venture between Dutch and Singaporean multinationals. In this role, she managed compliance across over 20 subsidiaries in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Sharada considers herself first and foremost a Singapore-trained lawyer, with a solid foundation in drafting, advocacy, and supporting clients from diverse communities and backgrounds.
Sharada was called to the Ontario bar in 2018 and has practiced family law in Ontario since 2020, with experience in firms across Kitchener, Ancaster, and Toronto, where she now works with Nazarian Law. She represents clients in courts throughout Ontario, including in Toronto, Brantford, Kitchener, and Oshawa. Her family law practice includes negotiating Separation and Cohabitation Agreements, as well as handling complex court matters involving custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and divorce.
Beyond her legal practice, Sharada serves on the Board of Focus for Ethnic Women, a nonprofit in the Kitchener-Waterloo region dedicated to supporting immigrant women in their integration into Canadian society.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading novels with a coffee in hand, savouring moments of peace and quiet.
